Default Range Rover Software Glitches?

Hi everyone! I just recently purchased a 2008 Range Rover Supercharged, and at only 300 miles have already had my first breakdown. I'm a little freaked out, to say the least, but am trying to remain optimistic. I was driving along last Sunday night, when all of a sudden, the vehicle began to slow down as if I was running out of fuel (but wasn't), the steering wheel locked and then the engine just cut off. I actually veered off onto the side of the road. After about 5 minutes, I was able to start the engine back up, but immediately got an amber "check engine light", and a malfunction message, "reduced engine performance." After about two more blocks, the engine died again, and I was forced to have it flatbedded home. Monday morning, bright and early, it was taken to the dealer, and I was virtually in tears. After all, I had just dropped a whole lotta money on the "car of my dreams" and was now facing the prospect of having a lemon. I got the car back yesterday evening, and was told that there was just a computer glitch. New software was subsequently installed to fix the problem.

Now my question to all of you experienced Range Rover owners is...............Is this normal? Should I be afraid of what's to come? Do I have a lemon? Are software glitches commonplace for these vehicles? I would be so happy for any advice on the matter, whatsoever. My confidence in the safety and reliability of my car has plummeted, and that's just not cool considering it's a $100,000 truck. Thanks in advance for your replies and support.[]
