Default Rediscovery

Hi guys!

Bought my 1998 disco hse back in 2000. I drove it daily until 2006 and I left it in my parents care where they occasionally drove it. My company provides me with a car. Now they need the room and I have it back! It has some issues and it looks like you guys are the perfect source for all things rover. I hope to document all the fixes and improvements along the way. The car is factory all the way but I am hoping to upgrade to a fun weekend driver. Sand will be my playground as I have a great trail near us that is on the beach. First up I am changing shocks and springs(old man emu seems to be popular) because it apparently shakes my old man's arthritis away between the speeds of 50-60. Tires will also be in order since I will apparently have some extra space to fill after the spring upgrade! I get to figure out why the fan is so darn loud and why the reservoir spills over. I will prob by a new catalytic converter since i cut mine off back in 2002(rang like a school bell when the throttle was engaged at all). I will need to put the abs chips(one under the dash and two under the hood if I remember correctly) and see if replacing the abs sensors will make a rover stop on asphalt instead of sliding like its on ice! After all that lets take a look at the sunroofs and stop those leaks!

Should I keep going?! Why spend the money? Well my wife will not let me buy any more guns!!!!!

Thanks for the space and look forward to including you in my/our journey.
