Default reliability for x5, xc90, q7 and land rover

Not sure where to post.

I am going to attempt to write this in the forums for each of these choices. I realize I am playing an expensive game but I am looking to purchase an older] in the luxury category.

I actually like others as well; ] cayenna, VW toureg and even the cx-9.

I realized none of these vehicles are cheap to fix and all will have there own set of issues. I am typically a DIY guy, but would lack the to do any heavy work. Fix an engine yes, but replacing probably not.

So although it may or may not be relevant to the topic I will list what I am looking for, I understand the more bells, the more broken bells potentially.

Although we all have better options in our pocket, things like nav, dvd, 3rd row would be a bonus. Think more bells if possible but on a land rover I gain as much with 4x4 ability.

My question is, which year and with what options should I look at or not look at. LR3, range rover, range rover sport, disco or whichever.

BTW the forum community is very important to me as well. I have done well in the forums with diy info to do what I needed.

Thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to read this and answers as well.

P.S. I realize many of you be quick to knock down the other choices, like saying thex5 is garbage or the q7 is, but unless you have first hand knowledge of the other vehicles I am mainly looking at this as a land rover question. I will get feedback from the other forums for those vehicles.

Welcome to the forum, please stop posting all the random links to items for sale in your comments, it freaks out the spam filter.

We need more info on what generation of vehicles you are looking at to give you a more informed answer along with models.
