Just bought my first Land Rover - a 1998 Disco 1 with 122K miles. And I am PUMPED!!

I have a bunch of noobie questions:

What types of issues do I need to look out for? (What kind of things CAN go wrong? What to listen for? This mules does have 122K miles)
What type of lifespan do these vehicles typically have?
Service tech tips?
What kind of bolt-ons can a guy do? I've found a CAI, headers. What else is there?
How well do these respond to suspension mods?
