Rover noob
so i just bought a land rover disco 2 must say i am impressed so far had a little setback after i changed to oil but good to go now .
made a bet with a friend of mine we bought 4x4s at the same time (he got a jeep Grand Cherokee) that by the end of this winter my land rover will be able to leave his jeep in the mud so he set a spending limit of 10.000 in mods and told me were on will post pics and some details as they come

Perhaps part of your budget can go toward an oil PSI gauge, look at the Glowshift products, and others. At the moment, pour some of that happiness into a bottle and put it on the shelf, you'll need a good swig of it from time to time....
I would say no, most owners enjoy their vehicle. Buying aged machinery, we should expect some repairs will be needed. And while some of those repairs are straight forward, others can be, well, more than fun. So remember why you bought it when changing the starter, rebuilding the prop shaft, pulling the fan clutch the first time, re-sealing the transfer case inspection plate, or watching the temp dial climb to the sky, or finding yet another oil leak to be dealt with, or "discovering" you have a good case of the Death Wobble.
