Default Saying hello...

Last July I found myself driving a LR3 off the showroom floor at the LR dealer in Manhattan. A few days later we drove the new LR3 to our home in LA. I fell in love with this vehicle. One cross country trip in the LR3 and I broke a 10 year long BMW habit. Still learning a LOT about what it will and will not do. First time off road was just yesterday (Feb 1 2008). What a trip! The fuel economy is murderous, but that's about the only complaint I have. Spencer (the LR3 needed a name) is going in for his first oil change Monday as he just turned 5500 miles. And I'm about to drive him to NYC and tow back a 2 year old BMW I just bought at auction. Looking forward to being able to learn a lot from you all. Hopefully I can offer a little bit along the way, too. Too bad I didn't know how amazing these Rover's are earlier. But better late than never. (And one final benefit of owning a Rover: I don't look silly getting in and out of one like most 50 year old guys do when they drive SL's or BMW 6 - series.) <grin>
