Default Self intro

Hello folks! I am a new member and I have owned land rovers for 20 years. I have had a series 3 ex-coastguard tender (if your hinges stand proud...), a 200 tdi 90, 300 tdi series 1 disco 2 door, P38 DSE rangie 2.5 diesel, a 2002 110 double cab black edition (from new), and now I have a 2003 Disco 2 4.6 SE. I was born in the states and moved to the UK 20 years ago to look after my father-in-law which is where I started my love with landies. I was a jeep man, owning an 83 CJ7 and was brought up with a ******* my father and grandfather owned so you that know how land rover started will get the connection. I am also a mechanic for 30 years who knows absolutely nothing but may just know the odd random thing that comes in handy! lol. my favorite saying about a landrover came from one of my buddies in London. He owned an ex-MOD series 2 100 inch pickup. He said..." You gotta love a Landrover!...It's the only vehicle that lets all the water in and all the oil out!" I have come home now and reside in connecticut so if you need a hand or want to go roaming in the mud, let me know!

Cheers just now

Matt
