Default Is this a smart purchase?

I have always loved the look of the RR. I am currently looking at an 08 Stonaway Gray with 38K on the clock.

I have a 70 mile roundtrip daily commute. I currently drive an 08 Corvette.

Everythign in me says this is a bad move due to reliability and gas mileage, but I am still tempted.

Thoughts?

Get a warranty and run with it. It will need more routine maintenance than your vette but it will be more luxurious. Vette's are a blast to drive but a Range Rover is one luxurious vehicle.

Since you already drive a Vette you are used to using premium fuel, but only expect 15mpg with the RR.
I have no idea what your Vette gets.
You might get 20mph with the RR if you drive with a light foot and use the cruise and dont try to be the first one to the next stop light all the time.
