So for x-mas i am buying a LR. But what should i buy? I am thinking of a Disco from 99-2003. Which s the best year.

Or am I better off with a RR up to a 2001 model?

 

Why not a 2004? Those are oft considered the "best" year of the Disco. Go for a 99-01 as those years have the ability to add CDL which is a must for serious off-roading.

Best advice would be to do a BUNCH of research then go drive a bunch of Disco's and RR's and figure out what you like. What do you plan on doing with your soon to be Rover? Camping? Extreme Off-Roading? Grocery fetching?
