Thinking to buy 2000 Discovery
#11
i appreciate ur feedback
i am looking in to a Volvo xc90 or Land rover
i do like Land Rover it looks more interesting and looks like a man car
how deep of a pockets i should to have?
also i have a mechanic friend, not Land Rover and he can do some work
is it that expensive? is it braking that often?
i need it for only few miles and usually for winter time only

It all depends on the individual vehicle, but most Discoverys now need, or will soon need, head gaskets, timing chain, oil pump, timing cover, power steering pump, front driveshaft, transfer case removed and resealed...and other things that commonly go bad.
There is a thread here on what to know and look for when buying one, and if they are really for you or not.
On the bright side, they are easy to work on.
