Spectre Land Rover Defender SVX
Last seen featured in the 24th James Bond film “Spectre”, this is the very Land Rover Defender used by the baddies in the movie. The car was specially built by Land Rover’s very own Special Vehicles Operations (SVO) for Sony Pictures, where a total of 10 examples had been made specifically for the movie. SVO commissioned Land Rover specialists, the U.K.-based BOWLER MOTORSPORT to transform the regular Santorini Black crew-cab Defender 110 into a machine that would be aptly used by the villains in the Bond movie.
The Spectre Land Rover Defender SVX uses massive 37-inch tyres that are bolted directly to the wheel rim and are said to improve the ride over the standard Defender model. Suspensions were upgraded to rose joints and upgraded to Bilstein dampers. In typical fashion where Bowler is known for creating some mad horsepower and off-road capable machines, the Spectre Defender has its engine output raised to 185bhp with the torque peaking out at 200Nm, while a double roll cage (inside and outside the body) addresses safety and movie style. Further, the interior is equipped with sporty Recaro seats that come with a 4-point racing harness.
