You are all NUTS, why the heck do you all buy these things!!
A couple of grand to ship but you have to be careful of importation laws.

I'm going to go the LS motive power route in my D2. It'll be "interesting".
It's been used, pulled a 53ft motor home out of sugar sand a few weeks ago. Regularly has well over 1000lbs loaded in the back and has never got stuck in Florida sand or swamp. I'm not abusive but I probably don't take as good care of it as I should.
My son's newer ford Explorer has cost more in repair and a friend is just fixing to do heads on his jeep......Head gaskets..
It still gets compliments when I take it out and it's a comfortable ride.
Maybe not as crazy as I first thought.
Regards Andy
When I tell someone I bought a Rover, they shake their head. Then they see it and ride in it and change their attitude. One guy said, I thought you were smarter than that, now he is searching craigslist for a Disco.
It cost me 750 quid in 2005 to bring a 109 over from the UK to the USA. Not sure what it would be in 2016 though. The import process was actually surprisingly easy but maybe that's because it was well over 25 years old and I could prove several years of ownership. The fun and games started when I tried to register it in CT...
