Buying First Rover
I am thinking about buying my first Land Rover, a 2013 LR2. I was just wondering how the buying process goes at Land Rover dealers. Should you expect to pay the MSRP or they offer one price you one price and that is it or is it a lot of haggling? I am in the Dallas area so if anyone know the best dealer and any thoughts on the LR2? Thanks for the help.

Always haggle! I dont care what car you're buying. From my Jaguar XJR to my Land Rover Discovery. I haggled and at least got SOMETHING knocked off. Or something added on, such as added warranties or maintenance. If they wont budge on price, always try to get something else thrown in. I got $550 off the price, a free year at costco with a $500 gift certificate and free oil changes and car washes for my dad's 2013 Chey Cruz eco lol

ps. if you absolutly must, go to dealerships looking at the used inventory to start... let the salesmen "guide you up" to the new one you really want, that way it can always appear to be "far more then you planned for financially", make the challenge of the sale on the salesmen and youll stand to benefit the most.

If you insist on buying new vs used, general new car buying stuff applies.
- Walk in with financing already taken care of, you can usually find better rates from your bank or other sources - takes that off the negotiation table for the dealer.
- Be ready to walk out at any moment.
- If you're in an area with a few dealerships within traveling distance, price them against each other. I've done most negotiations via email, saving brass tacks for the face to face. But again, be ready to walk.
- Be sure to leverage any other new car buying services that you can...be it USAA or even Costco. Walk in with their worst case scenario "price" and see what you can do.
