camping trailer
Looking for thoughts or ideas
Right now we keep our camping gear here in basement and shed, and rest at dads in storage trailer
Most is in pelicans and I have to strap it to the rovers rack
I have been thinking a small trailer to keep it all I could just hook up and go
I have a army trailer but its to big like the built in brakes, the smaller 1/4 ton army trailer would be perfect but they are not inclosed and usually found rotted for this reason
A small aluminum skinned tag along with barn doors is a thought but I do like having stand alone hydrualic brakes
Thoughts ideas?

Personal opinion, I you have the skills build it. Dont know how you camp but alot of trailers wont hold up off roading. Me personally I would build a teardrop with top rack. Buy 2 more matching rims/tires and make or have axel made. I would look around online get an ideal togather. Keep in mind stuff like sink/stove can be had for much of nothing out an rv at salvage yard. But I would recommend building it if you can look at it more as a investment.
It's worth waiting for a M100/M101 or M416. They really don't rot that bad, and are very fixable even in the worst shape. My buddy has one he refurb'd, added a top with struts for easy lifting, and put an ARB tent on top. He has 31s on it, and has dragged it across the country and back twice on the Rubicon, Moab, and countless east coast trails. Its been great, and I'm looking for one myself.
Everyone I see is rotted , I have military vehicles and have seen a lot, must be east coast thing
The m100 and 416 are great trailers, but water tight means crap sits in them and rotts em
Have you checked the bolt pattern on the 416 against the rover?
We have a nice m101a2? But its way to big to tow behind a rover it the 1 1/2 ton trailer for a pickup truck

What about something like these BV64e - New & Used Trailers - Horsebox, Livestock, Plant, Tippers, Car Transporters, Flatbed, Box Van, Spares or maybe larger.
Many are made from phenolic resin board and some from GRP.

I think I'd like to build something like this: Moby1 XTR Teardrop Trailer ? Moby1 Expedition Trailers LLC
The idea of climbing into a real bed at the end of the day really appeals to me.
