It's interesting to see what other car folks like so thanks to everyone who contributed. I love the Citroen at the start of the thread. I go for cars with character and that, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I've owned 13 cars over the years and only 1 was what I'd call boring. So, hearing no objections, I think I'll choose a coolest from each category:

SUV - 2001 Land Rover Discovery II
Sedan - 2005 Jaguar XJ Super V8
Sport - 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 (Mazda Miata with a turbo and other performance upgrades from the factory)
Utility - 1995 Ford Aerostar in eye-burning bright metallic blue
