Historical note about Mr. Delorean - he had previously run the Pontiac division of GM, and was considered the "father" of the GTO and some other big block red light cruisers that us older guys admired back in the 60's. My dad drove home the first GTO in our town, yellow, black interior, rag top, 4 speed; my older brothers went wild.
