So I just happened to be looking at stuff for the truck on eBay and found someone selling my intake concept with one of my pictures used to list the intake. I know I shared this concept with everyone so they could try it out but I didn't expect someone to start making kits and selling my idea.

The BEST line in the description "... While this truck started life as a capable Land Rover Discovery, through the genius of NCF, D.A.P. Enterprises and Performance Unlimited, this is now the most awesome and unique Land Rover in North America! "

How well did the concept work for you?
Any gains?
I was considering something like this to build for my D1......

I'm actually looking into this right now. Air temps are much better than factory air box, typically 10 degrees hotter than ambient air temp. Issue I am running into is the maf can't properly read the extra air. I have contacted bosch to see if they can suggest a better unit, but who knows what they will say. You can tell it has better throttle response and seams to get slightly better gas mileage but I am waiting to see if an improved maf will get the truck to proper spec.

Nice. For only $36k you too can have a Discovery 2 without a locking differential but with a slipped liner. Not that you would want to drive such a rare collectible.

EDIT: These were the trucks that were supposedly run for the entire distance without an oil change to show how great Mobil 1 oil was. Makes it even a better deal!
