Five gallons
yup.... I brewed 5 gallons of IPA yesterday, and here it is, at it's current stage. The glass carboy is a 6 gallon capacity which is why it looks not full. The yeast is just gearing up for some activity, usually takes 1-2 days to begin.
Yea, at least the foundation recipe is that. There are so many variations on that recipe it can make your head spin. From what kind of hops, how much hops, what kind of yeast, what kind of barley and malts, how much of each of these. There are literally 100's of different flavors of India Pale Ale.
