Reviving an oldie…
My main hobby is DJing and collecting vinyl records since I was 15. I’m 53 now.
Today I constructed 2 IKEA Kallax shelves to support more of my vinyl records, DJ and music gear.
I've gotten back into cycling, more heavily, these past two years. Always rode for enjoyment and fitness but, after being diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis), stepped up my game considerable. Most folks think RA only affects joint tissue but, it also attacks soft tissue organs...and in my/most cases...the lungs, brain and heart. So, in an attempt to offset the affects of this...started riding more.
Anyhow...bought a couple new whips. About rode the wheels off my old Gary Fisher mountain bike, so thought what the hell...you only live once.
For the trails...
For the gravel roads...
Trying to get a hundred miles a week, l know...not extremely difficult for some...but between work, weather and 90 year old parents...it's a challenge...lol.
Land Rover Hobby...
Wife hit a deer with her 03, bought it back from insurance company with plans to repair.
Then l rolled the 04.
Luckily, the front bumper didn't get destroyed...and can be used on the 03...eventually.
Then, that brings us to the Defender...
OMG...what a battle this thing turned into. I've put the engine back in, after rebuilding, but...it smokes now. I believe it is the valve stem seals. Had the head reconditions by a shop and they thought they were doing me a favor by using small block chevy valve seals, because they seemed to fit "better" on valve stems than the ones l supplied with new valves and springs. Well, everything l've researched afterwards....says...whatever you do...don't use any other valve stem seal...but land rover ones. So, it has to come back apart...but l just needed to step away from it for a bit. So, it's become yard art for now.

Exploring online dating on https://hitwe.com/asian/thai-brides/ has become a fascinating hobby for me. The platform offers a diverse array of Thai brides with genuine profiles and shared interests. Engaging in meaningful conversations about culture, traditions, and personal interests has been enriching. It's more than just finding a match; it's about learning and connecting on a deeper level. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in exploring Thai culture through meaningful relationships.
good hobby, you have. I like reading and hiking wth my gf
It looks like you're torn between two great hobbies. If you're looking to improve your fishing results, getting a kayak might be the way to go. It'll give you access to spots you can’t reach from the shore, potentially increasing your catch. On the other hand, a better metal detector could open up more opportunities for treasure hunting, making the experience even more rewarding if that's what excites you right now.
Think about which hobby gives you more joy in the long run. If you love the challenge of fishing and enjoy being on the water, the kayak could be a good investment. But if you're hooked on the thrill of treasure hunting, upgrading to a nicer detector will allow you to explore and find more valuable items.
My new hobby for about a year now. 1/10 scale radio controlled (rc) Redcat ‘64 Impala lowriders with servo simulated hydraulics. At 55yo it is addicting, therapeutic and very costly for me modding these miniature cars but cheaper than working on my Disco 2.
