Good read, and pretty much what one would expect...concerning the challenges.
But, if there was ever a 4X4 that reeked of the words "hot mess, sexy"...that would be the FJ40. Just a cool looking vehicle from every direction. It probably even looked good being towed...lol.
I believe, a Discovery ll would have done well during this adventure. Granted, it would be kind of "middle of the road", not really old (has some technological advantages, TC, ABS, etc), but not really cutting edge new either.
