JLR all electric in 10 years, Jag in only 5
Before people start talking about the bad, lets look at the good: LR to continue ICE, potential hydrogen power-plants, LR is being very cautious about rocking the boat too much on their sales leader in general, and LR sticking with the 3 distinct RR, Discovery, and Defender "sub brands".
The Bad: no more Jag sports cars - even electric? I get that they are low volume, but its the brand identity. LR going all electric eventually, how exactly is the brand heritage built off of traveling to the most remote parts of the world going to keep the heritage. There will be some that say they have already moved away from this, but they have continued long distance treks like Journey of Discovery and others.
General commentary: It seemed like a lot of fluff and rather rushed. A rash of companies have been jumping to get into the headlines about electric vehicles and they offer scant details. There are no business plans or sales projections, no market analysis. The only company that seems to be successful at selling electrics is Tesla, which to me makes it seem like its about status more than anything.

Lots of countries have "No ICE by X" mandates, rightly or wrongly. Where we'll all get caught out is 1) towing (which halves range), and the bunfights over 2) autonomous and 3) BEV batteries & powertrains. The last two means most small car manufacturers will just be style houses. Fewer cars will get sold, insurance to go up for non autonomous. If you look at the debacle going on in France with PSA & Renault it's very sad.
