I was looking at the HTP website and didn't see the 130 so I was guessing it was replaced in the line up by the 140.
From what I have read about them I want to go in person. It sounds like they are ok with showing you the machine and letting you take a quick practice run on it to make sure it's what you are after. That is the kind of customer service I like to read about and have if it's possible.
Blows my budget to h#ll but I can always use it on the Rover's as well.

I bought this combo. MIG175 Welder and Versa Cut Plasma Cutter Kit - Eastwood
I've been pretty happy with it so far. I'm not a professional by any means and it suits my needs well. I did some practicing on a Clark 130 using fluxcore and using the Eastwood 175 w/gas is so much better.
Its a 220v unit. I run it off a dedicated socket I installed in the front of my garage. I can use the socket to backfeed my panel with a generator in the even of a power outage.
The plasma, even though its their cheapest unit, has been amazing. You should come over and play someday.

Army the link I posted prior, takes you right to the 130.
Remember, it's always easier to 'under-buy'....But if you can squeeze quarters out of nickels and afford the 140, it's worth it. Deff. take the ride over there since your so close.....They're still selling the old fashioned way it sounds like, try before you buy!

Detoured I I was going to the HTP website not the USAweld site that's probably the difference. I'm gonna swing by there after work tomorrow and see what they've got. Looking at the schedule tomorrow I should be able to skip out an hour and a half early. welder shopping is important.
I noticed the weight of the 140 and thought that must be a typo until I read more.
I was also reading the people are doing aluminum welding with the 130 do you know anything about that?

I do need to come over and check it out someday though.

Just a heads up, I'm old skool and still use straight Co2, you don't need fancy gas that sucks money from your wallet. I've certified 3 times over the years with straight Co2, I've tried the mixed gas numerous times but I just can't adjust to it....You can purchase a cheaper regulator as well.
(my cert's. were military/structural & DOT to 3/4" over head)
HTP's welding wire is very good, I buy it on line, pick up some anti-spat while your there! (rattle can)
