Default Need help with search please.

I think I have a BCU issue, and seen it mentioned here a bazillion times.
But when I search BCU I get nada.
It tells me no results for BCU, so it's either lying or broke
Is there are proper way to search the forums for BCU?

I just recall reading somewhere if it is replaced another unit should be replaced with it so that they work together.
I was trying to find the name of the other unit.

My Symptoms were weird dash lights, will not crank, windows-seats do not work, will not stay running when starter is jumpped. 2 pending codes 0705 and 1668.
I took apart and also tested the xyz and it was working right.

So I figure something happened after the long battery disconnect where the BCu and the other part are not synching.

So you believe it's worth a shot to try a reprogram prior to replacement?
Is there a BECM?

"NO", do not replace the BCU, mainly because some of your issues are not related to the BCU, such as your engine problems.
Is your check engine light on if so what are the fault code numbers.
Also, if you were to replace the BCU, you could then no longer start it, it would have to be towed to a dealer and they will charge you a couple $200.
If you want help with this today, PM me your number and I'll call you.

The search engine for these forums sucks for the most part. You can't search for a 3 letter word.
Use google and this search string
BCU site:https://landroverforums.com
Like this:
http://www.google.com/search?q=BCU+s...w=1350&bih=908
Or to search for BCU plus another word:
http://www.google.com/search?q=BCU+s...w=1350&bih=908

"these forums" refers to most online forums.
