Doing some quick math in my head, it looks like about 80% of the discussion on this board is about Discovery's (yes, I also do scientific voting poles for CNN...lol).

So, why do we have to look at a LR3 on the banner? Is this another one of those "tolerance" test l always seem to fail, miserably? Anyhow, I say a peaceful protest is in order, rage against the machine, quash the tyrannical grasp on our freedoms and all of that good stuff!

As a person totally uninfluenced by advertising be it press or tv I have never noticed the side column ads until you mentioned them. I also run an ad blocker to avoid pop ups and continuous advertising which is prevalent in France. You may not have noticed them in the US but the UK run more and more ads using ethnic minorities, disabled and other national accents rather than the stock acceptable accents from the localised areas. Is this a creeping PC game.

 

Not the advertisement on the side bar...I'm talking about the banner (which is above) for this website.

I'm thinking one of the powerful tryrannical moderators own one and they chose to display this model...instead of what the masses own or desire. Purely an abuse of their governing powers, in my opinion...lol.

Removing the other models would help in leveraging the New Post button...However, sometimes there are build threads that I like to look at the pictures regardless of model.

 

Hi Brian, my powers of observation must be slipping, the faded one appears to be an LR3 whereas the sharper focused one is an LR4. Life is full of anomalies and questions, it's back to the WHY syndrome, the psychology of many is a mystery and in many circumstances best left that way or it'll drive you mad. Me, I'm completely mad, I seemed to have tried to fathom too many 'why and wherefores' over the years and I'm still searching for the answers. Sometimes it's best to leave the status quo as is otherwise you'll end up like me ........... bonkers

 

Heck, if it's a LR4...that even makes it worse...cause no one owns one of those...lol.
