We rolled in through the first day with a meet and greet in Ohio and the. A overnight in Joilet IL. The next morning we stopped at historic Joilet Prison from the blues brothers movie.


what a fantastic stop! Then we pushed on to Nebraska for our overnight camping and morning drive on the beach


and later down the highway

It fulfilled some childhood dreams that is for sure. Being at the red ball garage and seeing the time clock at the portofino in cali was amazing

 

Congratulations, on a successful journey! Did your daughter get much windshield time, and what did she think of it overall? Are you two still speaking...or more importantly...still father and daughter...lol.

We had an amazing time and we split the driving up. She tackled almost every major city along the way.

We were both happy to be out of the truck but we are still father daughter and like each other lol

Figured out today that gear lash noise I thought I was hearing was the rear differential eating its own bearings

It’s on the list but I have a trip on the trans-American trail coming up for a few days in august so I have to get a few things done on the P38 for that. Once I get back I need to make a decision on selling the old girl.(P38) Originally I was all for that, now…..
