I am drawing a straight line through the boondocks on the map between Kubu in the east of Botswana and Unions End in the South West and challenge it with the little old 2.4 litre Mitsubishi truck. No support vehicles and mechanics. Just him, just me. There can be a camera crew in a Discovery and all the Lucas support stuff they'll need

 

The joke is you'll never be able to buy that spec truck in any dealership as the one available will be a commercially attractive 'watered' down version without the special 'tweeks' that particular truck had. You'd have to get a specialist version from a specialist company to be comparative. I wonder how long that engine will last

 

Has anyone here driven the Nordschliefer? I did a few laps on one day some years ago and it's hair raising you think you're going fast and flatters and some 'loon' goes flying past you but many end up coming to grief in their company cars etc but some are experienced and mega quick around there.
