hard to say what will happen... I love my Landy, but I gotta be honest, the wife's ML500 benzo has one of the best V8s the planet has ever known. They are both great vehicles for different reasons, but it looks like Tata might be taking Rover in a good new direction... Take a look at this:

The report said Tata was looking for a new engine supplier for its Jaguar and Land Rover units, which it bought from Ford (F.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) for $2.3 billion earlier this year.
The magazine report added that Tata had met Daimler managers in India and South Africa over the past weeks, discussing a possible cooperation.
Daimler confirmed that a meeting between Tata and Mercedes Chief Operating Officer Rainer Schmueckle had taken place, but declined to give further details, Focus said.

Much more likely to be this than the Hyundai... Of course, "leaving it alone" doesnt seem to be an option, which is a pity.

Ive got an 04 santa fe just like that... they are pretty much crap off road and in snowy conditions. Overall its been a good car getting 25mpg on average and only having spent 1k in maintenance over 40k miles and 4 years of ownership. Love that little thing but, Im cramped in it and I want something that won't get stuck in a pot hole.
