Not so much this website, It generates its own advertising and news but say a website selling parts. What would guarantee your loyalty besides good deals? Club benefits and special deals, what about videos with specials or DIY ideas. What about discounts from local dealers or independants who use their products.

DIY vids is a big one. Lucky 8 use to do some of those, and AB does some. but they should be part of the site.

curious, do you think DIYer videos have more then just installation. What about learning about systems and diagnosing. Would you like it if you got a bigger discount by passing certain tests. Similar to manufacturer training. That way allowing your knowledge to not only expand as a land rover owner but a DIYer. Allowing yourself to diagnose any vehicle.
Do you know everything about AC systems, what about advanced electronics and electrical diagnosis. Would you like to. Would you want that extra discount because you earned it.

So the concept of several levels of price might be justified by the distributor, who has less support time tied up in sales to persons with established expertise.

I like the vids of installations. I would love to see LR3 and LR4 vids because in 5 years we will all have those trucks. I'm sure some of the LR3 owners would appreciate it now as well. Watching the Lucky 8 install vid for a lift on a D2 helped me do that lift but then I had trouble with my classic because i didnt think to undo the rear sway. Simple things like that you can pick up on a vid. I'm not looking for a certification of any kind. I don't want to say I'm any better then any other DIY'er, I just want to know how to do what I need to do and watch it over and over again without having to search a forum and read thru 10 pages of crap to figure out the proper process to bleed the 15 bleed screws on the ABS system of a classic.

But what about attaining certain levels of certification and for that you get access to more videos? That way you know what you are doing. Plus seriously most of you guys don't realize how a lot of these vehicles actually work. You just want the answer from us techs. But reality we can't always be right. We have to diagnose everything. Why, cause we look like the idiots. But look it at this way. By learning more about the vehicles you can learn more about yourself and improve yourself. Imagine getting a patch that says, Master DIYer. Your neighbors and your buddies will be amazed. You will have more information and more knowledge at your fingertips. You can fix stuff on other vehicles as well. Hell, with a big garage you can make a bit on the side. Who wouldn't want to be paid to put on a set of brakes for a neighbor. Or perhaps diagnose an electrical issue and get paid for it. This way your certification and your tools will give you that extra boost to make something off of it.
