My first was a 1990 nissan bought around 05-06 with 30k on the clock. Actually my parents bought it and still have it.

First vehicle I bought was for my girlfriend of 6ish months, a 01 beetle I won off eBay for 10k flew to Florida to pick up.
First vehicle I owned for me was a 1 year old 07 Nissan 4x4. 18500$
Learn I do not like car notes
Got a 1997 Toyota 4runner 4x4 built it up a little
Then got a 97 discovery built it up and sunk it
Got a ninja 250 rode for 6 months straight nothing else
Then got a 06 LR3 remembered I don't like car notes and miss working on disco
Bought first brand new car for wife 2012 jetta tdi
Bought a Yamaha r6 and had it stolen within 3 month no insurance
Bought a p38 for 1k sold it 3 weeks later for 2250
Bought a 2003 dii

All this within 4 years!!!

 

Actually I had two ninja 250s. I sold my first to a friend for more than I paid. I bought a red one and eventually sold it for what I paid. Then friend wrecked bike couple months I found a buyer, bought it from him for way less than he paid and sold it to guy same night for what I originally paid.

Needless to say my friends wouldnt buy a drink off me anymore

 

I'm late to this party.

My first car was a 1984 Honda CRX. I was a young college kid, working at a Honda dealer as a service advisor/writer (i.e., "repair sales man".) It was a trade-in and I offered the dealer owner $500 for it. On Fridays, after work, I would buy the techs beer and pizza and they'd help me fix her up. That's how I first started to learn about working on my own car.

If you're familiar with the Honda civic engines from that time, it will come as no surprise that I rode around with a big roll of vacuum hose line in the rear.

 

First car was a 51 Ford sedan, 3 of us pooled our money and paid $15 for it. Only one of us had a drivers license, the hood was missing and the radiator leaked so bad we had to drive with the wipers on. 3 bottles of Bars Leak and we were set. We drove that thing all summer and beat the .... out of it. Just kept pouring oil and gas (and water) into it. Sold it for $50 that fall (price went up because the radiator wasn't leaking and it had a hood that the junkyard gave to us for free). That was in the innocent days of youth before the realities of life was thrust upon me in a certain Asian conflict.

 

My car was a 1979 Fiat X1/9. This is one of the many pictures of the car. It was featured in quite a few magazine articles before it fell into my hands, and is now one of the most recognizable X1/9's in the country.

I also had a few other Fiats after that, but nothing to notable. Then of course I just got my 96 Disco a few days ago. Its quite a change!

1965 Chevy Impala SS. Bought it for $500 when I was 15. Brakes failed a couple of years later & it got totaled, as all too many first cars do.
