Default Where to go for parts?

I just bought a 1968 Series II Rover for the grand price of $150.... but-it's been parked since 1973. Low miles of course, but missing: engine and seats, and it's going to need new gauges and glass (at least thats easy).

I've already called the person listed as President of the DFW Land Rover club, no response yet... anyone know of an Series II nut in my part of the world with lots of parts? I'm thinking I might put in a toyota 22R engine/tranny just to get it back on the road... previous owner had removed original engine and welded in a chevy V8, which blew a hole in the tranny.. thus parked for 35 years.

Suggestions are welcomed. Also, I can't find interior pictures on the internet?..

Check out www.bushducks.com If you were here in Dallas, North Texas Rover. You can do it yourself, but depending on the rust you will need a lot of patience and an occasional extra hand. Hardest part is deciding whether to change the bulkhead. When you are done, you will know you're 90 better than most mechanics.

Note- I just checked Bushducks for San Antonio and Austin and only found dealers - there have to be some independent mechanics down there. Maybe check the local club members - also a good source of extra hands when the time comes www.texasrovers.com
