Default 1990 Classic Won't go into gear

Hello everyone... I'm a new member and just bought a 1990 RRC. QUESTION: I pulled into a spot after work to wait for my garage door to open so I could back the truck in... When I went to switch to reverse-------- nothing happened.. It hasn't gone into gear since.... The transmission was said to be rebuilt in the past year and I had NO problems with it,,, no grinding,,, no weird sounds or anything previous to the trouble.. ( and I've crawled under to make sure the rod is moving when the shifter is moved from inside) Is this a MAJOR problem,,,,,, or possibly a small one.. Financially speaking, I would like to know before I have it towed off to a shop...
Thanks a lot guys,,,,, I'm looking forward to being a member and the owner of a MOVING RR Classic....

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the same issue with my 88 POS but it has trouble finding any gear. I have not began to troubleshoot yet.
