Borg Warner Questions
Hello.
A couple of questions regarding the Borg Warner transfer box.
Since I have several D1's, someone I know has enlisted me to look around for a RRC to purchase.
Took a look at a '95 and it seemed solid enough but one thing I noticed was the transfer box wouldn't shift out of high. Will admit that I didn't know the differences between the BW and LT230 until later but knew enough that it should shift when ZF in neutral and rolling at 5mph or less. It wouldn't budge.
Skimmed through chassis manual and didn't find any mention of an interlock solenoid but am guessing there is one on the box.
As I'm typing this, remembered the speedometer wasn't working.
Is the linkage prone to issues like the LT230's or is the speedo a likely culprit?
