Default Swb great divide edition ?

Hello Gents,

I previously onwed #50 made in 1990. It was my understanding that GD Rovers were only sold in 1990 and 1991 only

?
I just came across a 1989 SWB in Alaskan blue ( not Chamonix white) with an unusual badge ( affixed the left of the rear tailgate, not the decal) in rear that also shows " Great Divide Expedition " and the badge looks old as hell, about as old as the car. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry, but not a GDE.
It looks like Dealers added that style badge to the tailgates. The true GDE's have a numbered badge.

IDK if I've seen, or even thought about that style GDE Badge in 10 to 15 years.
It's always funny what you find when you aren't looking.
