Buying an Evoque convertible
Greetings all! I'm new here and this is my first post so I hope I get it right (if I don't please be gentle!). I would like to buy an Evoque convertible for my wife to daily drive. She's retired so it won't be a lot of miles unless we use it to travel. While I'm new to RR's I am very close friends with a local RR specialist and I'm a retired mechanic myself. I'm told the 2 main issues these cars have is the pin coming out of the cam timing gear and the exhaust manifold cracking. I know there are smaller things I need to be wary of but are there certain years or models of these cars I should avoid? Tia!
2017 to 2019 are convertible models.
Get maintenance records. Too long oil change intervals killed cam phasors.
I have a 2015 Pure, 5K oil changes. She has 109K. The heater hose assemble had a small leak. ($80 oem part)
Been a good Rover.
