Range Rover evoque cutting out
So today I was heading back from a nice break , car started to slow down couldn’t get any power from the accelerator , then a red triangle “continue with caution “ then complete power loss . I was stuck on the dual carriageway without a hard shoulder so no where to go and not enough power to get my car up on the grass verge . The AA came and said timing chain gone ! It had 40,000 miles and a new shape 2019 model . This isn’t the first time my car has completely died on me . To say this was an extremely scary thing to happen was an understatement. 100s of car nearly smashed into mine as it was on a corner and not many people could see round it . Police took around half an hour to come . My husband went up round the corner and was signalling people to the clear lane but lots of people were not paying attention . My faith in Range Rover had severely declined and I’ve cancelled my new one that is supposed to be delivered in April . Has any else had an issue similar ? The breakdown people said they pick up a lot of range rovers now and so did the police say the exact same thing . Car has been fully serviced and maintained so not sure why such a thing would happen .
