Default Using Google Maps or Waze instead of installed Nav?

Hello. I have a 2015 Evoque Pure Plus. It has Navigation installed from 2015. Instead of buying an update, which doesn't show speed limits, cameras, etc, does anyone know if I can use a cable (phone to USB) and get maps from my phone to show on my screen? This car does not have the inControl package. I've read about MirrorLink. Does anyone know if this car would support MirrorLink, I can't find it in any manual?

Thank you in advance for any help.
Ann

I have the same vehicle, with the same problem. There are devices to hook into the touch screen to be able to view your phone on screen. But they are expensive and likely to void warranty. So I just set my phone in front of the nav. screen and use Google maps or Waze.

Thank you, John. I appreciate your help and it's good to know I'm not alone. 🥴👍

Since you have the same vehicle, I hope I can ask further questions down the road?
