So here goes. I'm still researching the proper cure for my start up rattle. So, I was told to research the VVT sprocket. But, it's not a VANOS like the BMW's. I can find a variable valve timing solenoid. Am I missing something? Probably, but still have to ask.

 

ever find anything here? I have an intermittent rattle upon startup as well, and it keeps rattling, but not consistent

 

Completely different vehicle but my ‘01 Dakota had a rattle that ended up being the catalytic converter.
