Default Anyone done major engine work on a L322 Range Rover?

Time for a quick introduction. I acquired my 2011 Range Rover from a family member as it broke down and stranded her while she was on an long trip. Initial indications are that there is no compression on one bank of the engine, so I suspect timing chain issues. I wound up swapping her a nice older BMW X5 for the newer RR to get her back on the road, so I hope the trade won't turn out to be too much of a financial disaster for me. I have a pretty broad background working on vehicles and engines of all types, so doing major engine surgery doesn't scare me. Plus, I am recently retired and just purchased a building that housed a former auto repair business with lifts and plenty of room to work on my auto projects. But, as I start getting into this vehicle, I realize the two PDF shop manuals that I acquired are pretty inadequate. For example, my initial thought was to go ahead and remove the engine and tear it apart on an engine stand. But, once I realized that the front differential is attached to the engine sump with the RH axle tube actually going through the sump, it appears that the front suspension has to be dismantled as well. So, I am now leaning toward try to tear down the engine in the vehicle. Anyone have experience with this, or can anyone recommend a decent shop manual that actually has some step by step procedures? Any help or advice is very much appreciated.

British Atlantic on YouTube have some good step by steps on timing chains and upper engine procedures where the ending stays in the bay. I have not seen any good videos or instructions for lower internal engine stuff

Same motor as the 5.0 LR4 so any of that would transfer over for the motor itself

QUICK question, I just found out my bottom end is toast on my 12' RR Supercharged. People are telling me I cant use a 5.0 bottom end and just switch the heads etc.
My VIN 7th digit is E while the NA ones are D does that make a difference. I Cant seem to find any info on it.

thanks in advance !Sorry for Thread Jacking

Good odds that the supercharged has a lower compression rate utilizing different pistons.

Just out of curiosity, how was it determined that your "bottom end is toast"?

In my infinite wisdom I took it to the stealership and said I needed a new engine. I tried a few things and can tell its hydrolocked, gas came out of the oil sump as well.

any ideas?

will be taking home and ripping apart any suggestions?

sounds like a stuck injector. Pull the plugs and fuel pump relay, crank it over to clear the fuel. Note the cylinder/s that have fuel. Maybe nothing is to badly damaged.
