Hi guys, new member looking for someone to save my sanity and hair before I rip it all out...

2006 L322 Vogue SE with touch screen unit

Driving along, radio starts playing intermittently, next thing I know turns off completely. Pulled over checked fuses all ok, traced fault back to Bluetooth module, great I thought, looped the two fibre cables and it started working again. Five mins later I assume the fibre cables stopped facing each other, all turned off, this time it’s taken everything with it. Black screen up front, no orange light, no optical light from the most connector in the rear, also no optical light from the IHU or radio unit (I’ve had the car stripped today)

Power is present at units in boot (though navi disc won’t eject)
No power at fuses in boot fusebox
Tried a most loop to eliminate any most units causing a problem, no luck

Only thing I’ve noticed is that the navigation disc won’t eject, there’s power to the unit but no luck with ejecting, could a a duff navi unit cause the issues I’m having even though it’s not on the MOST loop (no optical connection on navigation dvd drive)

Yes mate, was the IHU (unit behind the screen in the dash)

That unit is the originator of the most loop and creates the optical feed, stripped it all down powered up the ignition and there was no red optical light

Grabbed one second hand off eBay, plugged it in started working straight away
