Default I am committed, am I to be committed?

Hey hey 322 people

I just committed to an 06 Supercharged for an incredible, unheard of, get it out of my driveway price and it's at a friends shop getting dialed in now. I'm so excited but I can't believe it's going to be 3 weeks until I get to drive it because the DMV is backed up that far on appointments for new registrations. At least that gives us time to get it totally gone through and ready to roll. This will be my daily for the next 6-10 months since my "good" car retired early due to shoddy recall work at the Subaru dealer last year, that's the 'am I to be committed' part of the title. I'm a sales rep and do lots of miles through some places that help might not always be easy to find help but I have faith that in all actuality these are tough trucks that are meant to be used. I'll have a fresh baseline to work with after it leaves his shop and it should all be up to me to keep it that way from here on out and it's a lot nicer to travel in than most other rigs and certainly nicer than a Camry at this price would be.

I'm going to have all sorts of questions so will likely use this thread as my repository - Here's the first few:
Does anyone have a picture of the roof? I need to put a rack up there and don't know what I need other than what the Thule site is telling me. This one doesn't have anything up there now so I guess it's what they call a naked roof.
What's your favorite leather treatment? It hasn't ever been done and it needs to be softened and conditioned.
The headlights are a faded disaster, I'm betting that they can be cleaned and restored but what do replacements cost because that might make more sense.
Is anyone running AT tires?
Can it be tuned to run on regular rather than premium? The price difference here is about $1 a gallon and at 15mpg that could be a lot of money each year.

Thanks all.

Nice to meet ya!

Spoke to him again and the deal got sweeter. The owner said to go ahead with all the little things and new tires before I take it so it's going to have a nice clean baseline with all fresh fluids, new shoes and a full run through by a local LR specialist to clean up any gremlins hiding in there. Everyone I know, and a lot that I don't, are telling me to run away and not to get it but the more I hear that the more I want to prove them wrong.

What's your favorite rust prevention treatment? I want to get under there and clean it all up and spray or whatever because unlike the original owner I don't have a garage and my driveway is shaded and damp. I hate rust, it's what keeps taking good cars away from us and makes me not want to work on it myself so it degrades even faster. I've been hearing about Por15...
