Hi everyone some advice if possible.
My front air spring ruptured and after investigating and watching several videos I decided to order the spring replacement kits.
I removed the front air strut all went well, but on top of the strut is a damper part no SEB 500351. This part is available from
most part suppliers 72mm standard. All attempts so far to remove this have failed. My question is can this part be removed
if so how? Is it a screw fitting or pressed into the aluminium cup washer, so far I have been unable to find a detailed drawing
of this part. Many Thanks

 

Pleasant persistence does pay. Success at last the damper is screwed into the cup washer sadly for me during manufacture far too mush thread lock was used gentle heating and a windy gun
did the trick. If you buy the complete strut it comes with the cup washer I am told, if you buy the air spring service kit it dose not. Funny old world.
