Default Range on battery alone

Hi all. The alternator on my 2005 L322 went out and I have been charging my battery at home and driven it around locally to the store and back, etc. My dealer has generously offered to install an alternator that I bought (instead of a $1,000 dealer unit) for labor only. Problem is, they are 3.6 miles away. I wonder how far my truck will go on battery power alone? Can I make it that far? Anyone have a similar situation? Thanks!!

Lol well it was a 50/50 chance I would be right.

We ran a LR3 for 3 hours off road with no alternator, so it was a safe bet you would make it
