For anyone following along or for the future. My issue was a failed wire in the small extension that comes off of the temp sensor and connects to the wiring harness. Its a small section, about 6-8 inches with plugs on either end. This corrected every issue on the truck. All transmission codes, CEL, temp gauge, etc, went away. Starts perfectly, runs great.
