I just bought a 2012 L322 5.0 non supercharged with 66K miles on it. The truck was in almost optimal condition except for the EPB which I took care off. Suspension was quick no sagging and no issues.
I just installed the Xlifter module following the instructions and the install was straightforward. I did the calibration and all was good. I went on to try the leveling feature which is the reason I bought this unit I drove over a curb in the parking lot putting the right front tire on it. The curb was only couple of inches high but it was enough to test the leveling feature.
So I went ahead and engaged the leveling function, it started playing with the suspension and I started hearing some clunking noises as the suspension is moving up and down I wasn’t impressed much but it did kinda level except the front was a bit higher than the rear. I drove off the curb and reset the suspension using the car’s function and it did reset.
When I stepped of my car I could hear some air leak I walked around the car and it was the front right suspension, the car stayed leveled and the leak stopped so I thought could be normal.
The next day I drove the car and was driving normal no issues, I went to pick up some stuff and put them in the back and decided to lower the car to make it easier while using the car’s function. However as I drove off couple of feet I could feel the car not raising. I stopped in the parking lot and the car was slammed to the ground and also started getting compressor overheating alerts. Turned it off then on but nothing.
So I thought iLand Diagnostics 2.0 which I just bought will come and save the day, and that didn’t want to connect to my iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone SE, and iPad Pro giving me error that the device is not supported when I try to connect via bluetooth and unfortunately Atlantic British don’t have support over the phone so iLand was useless.
Eventually I had to drive and limp the car 20 miles which was the worst experience in my 20 years or driving, and the slammed suspension damaged the rear KM3s I just mounted yesterday, I tried to trouble shoot, I took the front right tire off while keeping the car on the jack, and as the car was trying to raise I could hear the air leak now coming from the left front suspension, however it was going up slowly with no air leak but at a certain level the air leaks.
It was a bad day and I would really appreciate it if someone can help me out here or if someone gone through the same issue.

The Xlifter caused the suspension to go "more than usual" potentially exposing the problems you already had with your probably worn old bags.
I would first fix the air leakage. Pump overheating also indicates air loss. The system did the right thing shutting it all down, preventing pump damage.
I'm sorry for your tires. They still look good though :-) Go some off roading and you wouldn't notice the damage any more.
Second problem is the iLand Diag connection issues.
As a first thing I would disconnect the Xlifter and then try if it talks.
There might be other electronic issues, not related to the Air Suspension, that can lead to loss of communication. Check if the battery terminal isn't corroded. There are few nuts and bolts where the green shmoo can hide and cause electronics to misbehave.
Is your onboard dash reporting anything?

Thanks for the reply and info.
The car is at the shop now and hopefully they can diagnose the problem correctly. I didn’t feel any sign of worn out air bag as it rode perfectly and raising and lowering the rover was super quick, but I’m far away of being a technician so I could be wrong. I thought however it could be caused by some valves in the system not working properly or something related to pressure (could be the airbags).
As far As the iLand issues, I did disconnect the Xlifter once I had the air suspension problem, but that didn’t change anything. The only light on the Dashboard right now is the airbag light and I was told by the last shop I took my car to that they reprogrammed the car and I need to drive it a bit and the light should go away. As a matter of fact, isn’t the job of iLand to be able to diagnose issues with the vehicle? If there is a problem in the car and the iLand refuses to communicate with it then what is the point of it? Anyway, I emailed Atlantic British and provided them with all the info needed.
Once I get the car from the shop with the suspension fixed hopefully, I will look into iLand further.
