My ZF transmission was hanging between 1-2 gear if applying a heavier than normal throttle from a stop. I have 123,000 miles and everyone said you need a new transmission, but couldn’t tell me what was wrong. Found ShopLifeTV on YouTube. This site is a professional ZF transmission mechanic named Jason. I listened to his Videos and took the gamble and purchased and replaced the valve body solenoids and seals. The transmission now shifts great. Total cost was under $500. Ordered parts from Eriksson Industries, which is a certified ZF Transmission remanufacturer.
