2020 HSE entertainment system slow
My 2020 HSE is my first Land Rover (purchased 3 months ago), and I'm just floored at how slow the entertainment system can be. I timed it from the point where the car starts till I can switch it over to Sirius Radio at 15 seconds. After it's booted fully, it takes 5+ seconds to changes screens between entertainment and navigation (or other tabs).
I've take it in 3 times now for service. The first two times they "reinstalled" the system and called it done. The third time they replaced a few modules, but everything still seems silly slow.
My family have 3 cars currently and the other two even being 10 years older, are much faster. I just don't get it.
On a side note, the Android Auto has multiple issues. It usually just fails to play music from Android Auto (the play button just goes straight back to pause without anything playing). I tried 4 different phones (that all work in my other vehicles). We had the USB port replaced twice, because service just presumed it was that. Tried multiple cables. I even formatted my phone once to try to get this to work.
Overall, I'm just flat disappointed from the performance of the system for such an expensive car. I feel like I'm just missing something. Is this common for all of Land Rovers of the same years?

I tend to find the unit starts up from the point you open the door, so you will notice the slowdown more if you just strait in and drive off, as we have to load kids into the car most of the time we really don't notice it.
It's more annoying if you take too long loading things before you start the car, in that case some of the modules will have started to go to sleepa nd will simply "crash", things like cameras, blind spot assist etc....
Was the same on the Discovery 5 which uses the same systems, I think its just something you get used to.

Found out that when you disable tap sounds - its much faster about 2x - not fast like a smartphone but finally managable

forgot to mention. Andoird auto has alot of problems on every car. But gets better with sw updates. Im coming from Samsung gs24. I’ve used previous Samsung Galaxy phones and they were worse. I’m annoyed that the podcasts and news randomly don’t play
i moved to Apple and haven’t has any issues. Best experience so far
JLR has started using Qualcomm SOCs on newer cars so it should be much faster

Please understand that the infotainment is provided by an IVI (In-vehicle infotainment) system powered by an Intel Atom E3800 (1.33GHz) processor with 4GB RAM and has to deliver HD graphics on several displays, surround sound, etc.

with yours being a 2020, does it have the PIVI infotainment system? Have all the updates been done to your system? Also try resetting the system and see if that helps.
