Any aftermarket diag tools that can run adaptive cruise alignment routine?
I have a C1A67-78 (sensor alignment) error. It seems like JLR says the first step (if clearing the code won't work) is to try running the alignment routine - then if that doesn't work, you have to remove the bumper and check the support bracket. I sort of doubt it was hit, so want to try the least invasive process before removing the bumper cover.
The dealer did, but the code came back. The service advisor said that it's usually the bracket and I guess because it's "damage", they weren't warrantying the labor to remove the bumper cover. After I picked up the vehicle, I checked online JLR Topix and it seems to suggest the next step should have been to try and run the software alignment routine anyway, and only if that doesn't work THEN move to assuming the bumper/bracket.
I would take it back to the dealer and let them know that the car sustained no damage and that they should proceed with running the software alignment routine. If the service advisor tells you otherwise, ask to speak to the service manager or the owner of the dealership. Good luck.

P.S. once you use the tool to initialize the calibration, you have to drive around a bit for it to re-learn ... it can be surprising how varied this will be. Sometimes the test completes quick and other times it could be 30-50 miles before it completes and you know for sure. The Autel will tell you the alignment angle and there are specs for the range on TopiX, so you'll know if it really is a bent bracket or something else.
