I have a 2018 V8 supercharged. I developed a coolant leak in a common area. While investigating I see that it appears they changed the cooling system on the 2018s with the addition of a second thermostat on the outlet side of the engine. I was planning to use the updated aluminum pipes while fixing my leak, but it appears they do not have a provision for this additional thermostat.
Can anyone explain what this additional thermostat does or why it was added in 2018?
