Diesel Range Rover. 3.0 Lion 2018 full size maintenance questions
I have some questions regarding the 2018 full-size Range Rover with the 3.0L diesel engine L405 turbocharged V6 diesel engine (Td6)
1. The car has the ability to shut off the automatic engine stop. For city driving this is annoying, and I think it would save the life of the starter. Is this a good idea to turn off the automatic engine stop in city driving.
2. Regarding diesel blow by. Some companies make catch cans. Is it possible to install one of these catch cans to collect the used diesel vapors before dumping them back into the engine. I’ve installed this on my Cummings diesel and it works quite nice however I don’t know if it’s recommended for the Range Rover vehicle?
3. Is it recommended to use a diesel fuel additive like liquid Molly? If so, how often should this be used?
my vehicle has 36,500 miles on it.

I have a 2017 Vogue SE (UK)
1. I regularly turn off the Auto stop feature as I agree that the lifetime of the starter motor may be compromised with regular restarts if you are driving in town.
2. sorry don't understand this issue of diesel blowby is it a real problem ?
3. I use Redex DPF Turbo cleaner COSTCO multipack occasionally but only if I get a yellow engine light and a Turbo overpressure condition. This overpressure will inhibit the DpF regeneration (my experience) and the car goes into limp mode I have had this issue a couple of times but I am doing longer journeys these days and thankfully it hasn't reappeared. I Took the throttle body off and cleaned with carb cleaner but that didn't help.
I Almost bought liquid Moly off Amazon but it was for a flush of the DpF off the vehicle . so I cancelled the order .
Trust this was helpful
Vehicle has 50K miles now

Always a good idea to turn off the auto stop feature regardless of the engine you have.
Any modifications you do to the engine might void your emissions warranty. Emission warranties in the US are usually longer than the factory warranty. I think 7 years.
