So, you have the lowline uip... It will not work with a simple update, as hardware is missing... JLR will of course say it is not possible, but it is and this is what you have to do:

First, you need a highline uip, available from this place: https://www.unichip-tec.com/h-pd-249...=HDMI&_pp=0_35

Then, depending on where you live, you need to find someone with access to Pathfinder diagnostic tools and the knowledge to edit the car configuration file. Finding a Pathfinder is essential, after that, I can help with a link to a company in the UK that can update your CCF, if the person or company you find do not know what to do. For a reasonable fee, they will remote connect and update your file...

You can do the panel replacement yourself, it's just a swap of the units and the new one will work the same as the old one (without the CCF editing) but of course you will not have CarPlay... But you can keep it there until you find someone with a Pathfinder unit... (You can also buy one from the same link I posted, but it is expensive!) I found someone in my country on the sales/service websites, it took a few weeks, but there certainly are independent persons that service JLR cars and they need such a device to do stuff on them...

Mine says last update was 11/21.

 

S21B_21.37.2-778242 is the latest (and probably the last) software version...

Not available yet on mine, I will call the dealer Monday to see if he can push it.

 

After calling the dealer and asking them to enable the update, it appeared in the menu in a few minutes.
It was bigger than the last one (39MB vs 13MB), downloaded in 15 minutes and installed in about the same time.
I can't say I noticed if anything was changed/improved yet...
